Welcome to our history and milestones
Peracutus was founded in 2013. As a team of 4 creative people we started to work out a new concept for measuring limbs. Pumping water into a cylinder renders numerous slices of cross-sectional areas and (segmental) volumes.
First results were obtained in the kitchen and later in the garage. A promising signal while measuring a PVC pipe convinced us and we patented our concept.
The first prototype was used in a clinical study and has delivered 3 scientific papers. The Peracutus Aqua Meth can compete well with the golden standard. Introducing a new reference point resulted in significantly higher accuracies.
The Peracutus Aqua is now on its way to the market.
In the video below, the dynamic Aqua Meth measurement method is explained within the context of edema. Numerous other applications have now been addressed, including fitting prosthesis.

The Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery Department at MUMC+ (Maastricht) validated our measurement system.

We published our device accuracy including a new reference method.
